Nomadic Noles
During the summer of 2016, I participated in an internship with the Editing, Writing, and Media program offered by Florida State University in Valencia, Spain. Nomadic Noles is a student-run magazine publication that designs, writes, and produces a multi-page publication about things related to Valencia or Florida State's study abroad program.
As an editing intern, I was responsible for a portion of the students who made up the Editing, Writing, and Media students who created the newest edition of Nomadic Noles. I edited drafts of articles, blog posts, and Instagram submissions for 4 students on a daily basis, as well as assisted them in page design in Adobe InDesign, and photo editing in Adobe PhotoShop.
Each student, including myself, was responsible for one blog post, one Instagram submission, and one draft of their article roughly once a week for six weeks. All of the edited drafts are provided in the "Editing Work" tab, and my article is in its own tab.
My main article assignment this summer was a profile of the Valencia abroad program director, Ignacio Messana, and my sidebar topic was about a small beach town in Spain called Javea.
